KASPA is faster than Solana. Bitcoin’s security model could be fatally flawed. And an ex-Bitcoin maxi is saying KASPA might actually win.
If that sounds insane, that’s because it is. And in the latest interview on our YouTube channel, Paul Matt sits down with certified financial advisor Vijay Kailash to break it all down.
Vijay doesn’t mince words. He calls KASPA “better technology than Bitcoin” and says if both had launched in 2009, “hands down KASPA would’ve won.” But at the same time, he admits Bitcoin still dominates as pristine collateral in 2025. That tension—between Bitcoin’s entrenched network effects and KASPA’s raw speed—is exactly what makes this episode so explosive.
So what’s the real story behind the hype?
Vijay explains why KASPA’s blockDAG design changes the game. While Bitcoin processes one block every ten minutes, KASPA produces ten blocks per second—literally instant settlement. That makes it faster than Solana, more secure than Ethereum, and still proof-of-work. If Bitcoin is digital gold, KASPA is aiming to be digital cash at internet speed.
One of Vijay’s most controversial claims? That Bitcoin’s long-term security budget doesn’t add up. As block rewards shrink, he argues fees won’t be enough to incentivize miners—opening the door for vulnerabilities. KASPA, he says, offers a more sustainable model while keeping decentralization intact.
Despite the bold claims, Vijay isn’t all-in on KASPA yet. He still holds mostly Bitcoin, admitting that KASPA needs to hit a $200B market cap before he’d feel comfortable going 100%. Right now, it’s a $2B altcoin with massive upside—but also massive risk. That’s why he says early adopters could see “at least 100x potential” if adoption plays out.
It’s not just KASPA. Vijay frames the altcoin market as a necessary outlet for retail energy. From unit bias (buying thousands of cheap coins instead of 0.01 BTC) to capital rotation, altcoins are where investors test new ideas—and sometimes stumble into the next Solana. KASPA, he argues, has the rare combination of fair launch, proof of work, and speed that could put it in the top five.
The big takeaway? Bitcoin isn’t dead. But KASPA is making serious noise. Vijay sees it as the first real contender that forces Bitcoin maxis to confront flaws they’ve ignored. Whether KASPA truly wins or not, the fact that the conversation is happening at all makes this episode required viewing.
